1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Light and Flame Media LLC, doing business as EV Help Hub (“EV Help Hub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit evhelphub.com (the “Website”). It also explains the choices and rights you have over that information.

PO Box 2423
Cedar Park, TX 78630, USA
Email: [email protected]

This Policy covers the Website only. Our YouTube channel is hosted on YouTube and is governed by Google’s privacy policy and terms.

2. The Short Version

We don’t require accounts and we don’t ask for personal details to read our content. The data involved in running this site comes from three places: information you choose to send us (like a contact form message), technical data your browser shares automatically (like your IP address and pages visited), and cookies set by us and by the third parties that power our analytics, advertising, and affiliate links. Where the law requires it, advertising and analytics trackers only run after you give consent through our cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time using the “Update Privacy Settings” or “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide

If you contact us through the form on our About page or by email, we receive whatever you include, typically your name, email address, and message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, we and our service providers automatically collect usage data, which can include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring page, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and general location derived from your IP address (such as country or region). Precise geolocation is collected only if you expressly consent to it through our cookie banner.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (“trackers”). These are described in detail in our Cookie Policy.

4. How We Use Information and Our Legal Bases

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate, secure, and maintain the Website (legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a functional, secure site).
  • Understand how the Website is used and improve our content, using analytics (legal basis: your consent where required by law, otherwise our legitimate interest).
  • Display advertising, including personalized advertising where you have consented (legal basis: your consent for personalized advertising in regions that require it; legitimate interest for non-personalized, contextual advertising).
  • Attribute affiliate referrals so we earn commissions on qualifying purchases (legal basis: your consent where required, otherwise our legitimate interest in funding the Website).
  • Respond to your messages and inquiries (legal basis: our legitimate interest in communicating with you).
  • Comply with legal obligations (legal basis: legal obligation).

5. Advertising (Mediavine)

The Website displays programmatic advertising managed by Mediavine. Mediavine and its advertising partners may collect and process data such as your IP address, device and browser identifiers, the pages you visit on this site, your interactions with ads, and your approximate location, in order to serve, personalize, and measure advertisements.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will see a consent banner before personalized advertising trackers are used. This banner is provided through Mediavine’s consent management platform (operated with consentmanager) and follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The full list of advertising partners, and the specific purposes you can consent to or decline, is available inside the banner and through the “Update Privacy Settings” link in the Website footer. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your data.

If you visit from the United States, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising using the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer. Our consent platform is also designed to recognize opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required by law.

You can additionally opt out of interest-based advertising across many companies through these industry tools:

6. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the Website, such as which pages are read, how long sessions last, and which sites refer visitors to us. GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Where the law requires consent for analytics trackers, GA4 operates through Google Consent Mode and respects the choice you make in our cookie banner. User-level analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

7. Affiliate Links

The Website contains affiliate links. If you click one and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, EV Help Hub earns from qualifying purchases. We also participate in affiliate programs operated through Awin and through GoAffPro, including the 3W Liners affiliate program. When you click an affiliate link, the relevant network or merchant sets trackers on your device to attribute the referral. Those trackers are described in our Cookie Policy, and the networks’ own privacy policies govern their use of your data.

8. Embedded Content and Fonts

Some pages embed videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. YouTube embeds on this site use a click-to-load design: no YouTube trackers are set until you click play. Once you play an embedded video, the hosting platform (Google/YouTube or Vimeo) may set cookies and collect data as described in its own privacy policy. The Website also uses Google Fonts to display text; delivering font files involves sending your IP address to Google’s servers, but Google Fonts does not set cookies.

9. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers: companies that help us run the Website, including SiteGround (hosting), Google (analytics and fonts), and Mediavine/consentmanager (advertising and consent management). They process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies.
  • Advertising partners: as described in Section 5, subject to your consent and opt-out rights. Under some US state laws, this disclosure of identifiers and browsing activity for targeted advertising is treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, which is why we provide the opt-out described above.
  • Legal reasons: if required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers: if the Website or its assets are sold or transferred, information may transfer with them, subject to this Policy.

10. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and the Website is hosted and operated there. If you visit from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, our providers rely on recognized transfer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

11. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Contact form messages and emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward. Server logs are retained on a short rotation by our hosting provider. Analytics data is retained as described in Section 6. Records of your consent choices are retained by our consent management platform for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance.

12. Your Privacy Rights

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You can withdraw advertising consent through the “Update Privacy Settings” link in the footer. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

Canada

If you are in Canada, you have rights under PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, including the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent subject to legal and contractual limits. You may also file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

United States

Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Some states also give you the right to appeal a decision we make on your request.

California Notice at Collection: we collect the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as IP address and device identifiers), internet activity (such as pages viewed and ad interactions), approximate geolocation, and, only with your consent, precise geolocation. We collect these to operate the Website, measure traffic, display and measure advertising, and attribute affiliate referrals, and we retain them as described in Section 11. We “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out via the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Exercising your rights

To exercise any right, use the privacy links in the footer or email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. In California, you may use an authorized agent, subject to verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

13. Do Not Track and Opt-Out Signals

There is no industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, so the Website does not respond to them. However, our consent platform is designed to recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal where the law requires it.

14. Children’s Privacy

The Website is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

15. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
